Mercedes-Benz Van Turned Into Tiny House on Wheels

Even after many waves of feminism, people associate females with works that are as easy as pie. Be it decorating cake for Halloween or making Halloween witch wreaths, women have always been seen as second sex that can’t toil with metal but can contribute to home décor and other related activities. Well, the former half is true but the latter isn’t the complete truth. Women like Jamie prove this masochist notion wrong and you will be surprised that she has transformed her Mercedes Benz campervan into a tiny house on wheels.

Sonny is a 2007 Mercedes-Benz campervan with a 144-inch wheelbase that now functions as a gorgeous tiny house on wheels, courtesy of its DIY-loving owner. Rustic and modern in look, the van home has a beautiful kitchen and a bedroom that radiates homey vibes. There is a garage with sufficient enough storage at the rear.

The ex-Dodge- sprinter had an all-white exterior but Jamie has painted it in yellow color. The lush yellow exterior makes it look even more gorgeous and bring a retro feel to the tiny dwelling.

Sonny isn’t as big any traditional tiny house but even with compact space, Jamie adds every aspect of modern day living to her new home. The interior space boasts a lot of wooden accents that go hand in hand with the modern-day amenities.

The cockpit area is separated from the rest of the space via a sliding barn door. Adjacent to the cockpit area is the kitchen which as aforementioned has cooktop, oven, storage racks, cabinets and other nitty-gritty items required for a decent living. It even includes a wood-burning stove that would keep the owner and her guests warm during cold winter nights.

Jamie has also cleverly accommodated the fridge underneath the bed and can be accessed via simply pulling it out. In addition, there is a pull-out table and a couple of benches making most out of the compact space. One of these benches come with built-in storage while the other one hides a cassette toilet. There is no shower in the van conversion which is the only downside.

The bedroom is located at the rear and features a custom-size bed that easily sleeps two people. Above the bed, there are several cabinets, and underneath it lies the garage that can be accessed from outside. Not to forget, Sonny is equipped with two 175-watt solar panels, allowing Jamie to live off-the-grid whenever she pleases.
